Sorry, short amount of time left.
So this week was good! On Friday we sat down and planned the whole day long pretty much. We have a boundary that we stay in and missionaries in the past have divided it into 9 sections. We keep a book full of records. We decided to go through this book of records - our Area Book - and decided to call every single person who had given us their phone number to see if they are still interested in the gospel. We called over 50 people within a few hours! Many of which did not work - however we did get a phone call back and we set up an appointment.... The bad thing is - we have no idea who this person is! We tried to match his phone number with our records but could not find it at all! We even looked through our directory and skimmed over the 900+ phone numbers in that. ..(Did that a few times) ... We still haven't been able to figure out who this person is and I guess we will find out next week! While I called, Elder Gardner used his GPS to figure out which areas some people lived in so that we can plan so much more effectively.
We tried to contact as many potential investigators (People who seemed interested in learning more about the gospel) on Saturday. We got one return appointment! We actually knocked on over 30 doors on Saturday! (Many not home) We went to one person's home and found out that he had moved, but his mother used to be a member and so we are now teaching her and she may be coming back to church again! :-)
Pier 39 at Fisherman's Wharf, San Fran |
Today we went to San Francisco Pier 39! We walked around and then we tried to get some food - very cool! It has reminded me of all the cool places my family has gone to in Europe!
As you can see there are usually more pictures that I don't really talk about but the mission experience is great! Don't have too much time left but it was good and I am looking forward to continuing to work hard my last couple of weeks here.
Well I love God and I know this is what He wants me to do right now. There is nothing else better than this. I know this gospel brings blessings and it is very logical. Even though many have mis-information about the Church I know that there is no way that one man could set this up. There is no logical explaining for it - apart from that he was chosen and that is how Jesus chose to restore His church that He had anciently set up.
